When the calories you consume exceed those you burn, your body stores the surplus as fat, leading to weight gain. Conversely, consuming fewer calories than your body utilizes prompts it to tap into stored fat for energy, resulting in weight loss.

Daily Caloric Needs:

Caloric requirements vary depending on factors such as age, weight, height, and physical activity level. On average, men require around 2,500 kilocalories (kcal) per day, while women need about 2,000 kcal.
