Our yoga studios are intentionally made to create a peaceful, welcoming environment, with atmospheric lighting to keep you in the zone throughout the class. At the end of your session, either hit the gym in one of our exercise rooms or take relaxation to a whole new level in the saunas.
During Hatha Flow sessions, be prepared to approach the sequences and poses slowly and with intention. Holding each pose and proper breath control, to get a full stretch and relaxation. This class is great for members who would like to take a step up from Foundation Yoga but prefer to approach it more slowly than Vinyasa.

Hatha Flow Yoga is a class for mixed ability members, challenging but with options for all yoga journeys. Learn pranayama breath work and yoga techniques to guide you through mindful and calming sequences. Hatha yoga is designed to align and build awareness of your body, promote mindfulness, and awaken the spirit. The postures are also designed to open the channels of the body, particularly the spine, so that vital energy can flow freely. In our physical bodies, we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our effort and surrender in each pose from the Sanskrit words "Ha" meaning sun and "Tha" meaning moon, the balance of opposing energies.
Absolutely. Our Hatha Flow class is purposefully designed to cater for all yoga abilities. It helps that Hatha Flow is slower and uses gentle movements, and is often praised for being suitable for bodies as they age. However, it may be helpful to begin with our Foundation Yoga first to build an understanding of the world of yoga through basic poses and linked breathing techniques.
Being consistent is the key to achieving full benefits from your yoga practice. Regular, balanced practice 1-3 times a week is a popular schedule alongside other forms of exercise like cardio and weight training.
We recommend wearing loose, breathable clothes that allow for a full range of movement. Yoga is a very stretchy and fluid form of exercise, so you should be unrestricted.
Hatha Flow Yoga is more slow-paced than Vinyasa and focuses a little more on the holding of positions and breathing through them. The flowing style of Vinyasa emphasises the connection between poses and transition through sequences.
Yes, Hatha Flow Yoga is gentle on the joints and reduces the likelihood of muscle strain and joint pain as it is not intense. Hatha Flow is intentionally slower and calmer, unlike other low-impact exercises like Pilates classes.

This class is a great way to begin your yoga journey, designed to break down the essential elements of yoga step by step.
Exercises are performed standing, seated and lying down with emphasis on alignment and posterior lateral breathing whilst executing the moves. These will initially be performed with the instructor on a timed sequence to create the flow and then at your own pace under guidance.
