Our Rocket Yoga classes provide a welcoming space within our yoga studio, equipped with yoga mats, blocks and bands to assist your yogi journey. We host these classes weekly and have all the equipment necessary for this powerful, tension-relieving workout.
After the class, take a moment to soak in the relaxing and grounding impact of yoga by steaming in our Finnish sauna, located within our changing rooms.
When joining your first Rocket Yoga class, make sure you arrive with a can-do attitude with a hint of playfulness.
Rocket Yoga is all about taking traditional Ashtanga yoga and loosening the structure so that the practitioner can flow between movements for a greater sense of empowerment and freedom.

Rocket Yoga at Richmond Hill Health Club is an energetic and invigorating style of yoga that encourages playfulness and creativity within your practice. Rocket Yoga may present as a more challenging practice, but it is highly customisable and can be adapted at your own pace and body limits. It incorporates arm balances and inversions into traditional asanas (poses) to create flowing, powerful sequences that focus on progress rather than perfection.
It can be, but it is also accessible at a beginner level. Since it is designed to be adaptable to all yoga abilities, you can explore more advanced poses and transitions with guidance from your yoga instructor.
Rocket Yoga can be taught in 3 different sequences, namely Rocket 1, Rocket 2 and Rocket 3. Here are the differences.
Rocket 1: Trains foundational strength with additional focus on flexibility.
Rocket 2: Focus on backbends and hip-opening sequences.
Rocket 3: Combines the previous 2 sequences with emphasis on transitions and flow.
Absolutely. Rocket yoga is more freeing and adaptable than other, more rigid yoga structures. With its diverse range of arm balances, inversion and trickier transitions, it can be modified to encourage practising at your own level.
No you dont. Rocket Yoga can help you improve flexibility throughout the classes. If you are already flexible, then the classes can help to maintain this flexibility and provide support on stability and forming new or more challenging poses.
Yes, Rocket Yoga, while stimulating and invigorating, is still a gentle exercise on joints and muscles. Rocket Yoga sessions incorporate the types of poses and flow of Vinyasa yoga with the strength training and balance of pilates, but with a creative twist of interchanging postures, mindfulness and a focus on personal progress from one pose to the next.
