Yes. Our PTs will work with you to create a workout plan that best fits your fitness journey. They will take into account your current fitness level, your daily habits, nutrition and goals and formulate a strength training program tailored to you.
While resistance machines isolate muscle groups and allow for more structure of correct form and movement, free weight training offers less stability but works more muscle groups at once. We attribute equal value to the combination of both forms of strength exercises in a gym routine for the best results.
How many you attend depends on your workout routine, but with over 50 classes a week, we have plenty to choose from. We highly recommend attending at least 3 classes a week to see results and build consistency.
Skipping warm-ups, lifting weights that are too heavy and lifting with poor form can make recovery much more difficult and increase the chance of injury. This is where a PT would be great assistance in making sure you are training safely with proper form.
Great beginner exercises are adding resistance to cardio, like step mills or rowing, as well as circuit training like goblet squats using kettlebells and dead lifts using barbells or kettlebells.
