All our classes are led by experienced, supportive instructors who guide you through every exercise and motivate you when you need it most, encouraging you to hold that plank a little longer each time. Every exercise can be adapted to suit different fitness levels.
Core Blast takes place in our fully equipped studio on the lower floor of the gym, right across from our changing rooms and sauna. All mats and weights necessary will be provided, so just bring water and the energy for an intense workout.
A lot of core exercises are performed on the floor, so expect a lot of mat work where you will hold poses like side plank and high plank positions, as well as bicycle kicks and russian twists, working your abdominal muscles towards a strong core. This class is more about endurance than a fast-based shred, ending with that satisfied burn of the abs.

In Core Blast, you will move through sets of core-strengthening exercises that target the upper, middle, and lower core muscles, giving you a full abdominal workout. Each set includes exercises such as planks, crunches, and sit-ups, with a strong focus on maintaining proper form and keeping your entire core engaged.
Among the many benefits of core exercises, assisting in weight loss journeys is one of them. While targeted ab workouts do not burn as many calories as, say, running, they do strengthen the core stability to be able to perform better during cardio and other weight training, enhancing that weight loss journey.
Absolutely, all of our Richmond gym classes can be adapted to suit individual fitness levels, which our instructors will guide you through.
We have a team of personal trainers that can help you train a strong core. It is helpful to have a trained professional who can correct form, teaching you to resist rotation and understand the importance of alignment for good form.
Our other classes include core & conditioning, spin & abs, pilates and HIIT.
It is best to include core training in your routine 2-3 times a week with our classes or in our functional training area, where you can choose free or body weight exercises.

Foundation Yoga is one of four yoga classes available at Richmond Hill Health Club. Our centre is just a 10-minute walk from Richmond Station, and we have a car park open to members. This class is a great way to begin your yoga journey, designed to break down the essential elements of yoga step by step.
Exercises are performed standing, seated and lying down with emphasis on alignment and posterior lateral breathing whilst executing the moves. These will initially be performed with the instructor on a timed sequence to create the flow and then at your own pace under guidance.
